Day 1:  CAIRO / ASWAN 

Transfer to Cairo International Airport (Domestic Terminal) for your Egypt Air flight to Arrive Aswan (Flight will be advised) airport, where you will be met and transferred by private bus and driver to cross the Nile by motorboat to Elephantine Island, where we will spend one night at Movenpick Resort hotel (or similar).  

Overnight: Movenpick Resort Hotel (or similar) in Aswan.

Meals: Breakfast

 

Day 2:    NILE CRUISE (Aswan)

Cross the Nile to board our private coach, which will transfer us to our Deluxe Sonesta Nile Goddess Nile Cruise (or similar). We will spend the next three (3) nights / four (4) days onboard, enjoying the open Museums on both banks of the Nile.

The Sonesta Goddess Nile cruise program (Subject to change) will be as follows: Check-in, lunch onboard the cruise boat, and an afternoon Felucca ride (Sailing boats) around Kitchener Island.

Day 3:    NILE CRUISE (Aswan – Kom Ombo –Edfu)

Start your day with a wonderful buffet breakfast followed by a visit to the High Dam, the Temple of Philae, and the Unfinished Obelisk.  Midmorning: Sail to Kom Ombo. Return to the ship for lunch.  After lunch, you will disembark the boat, walking on foot - for a very short distance - to visit the twin Temple known as the shrine of ancient Priests and Physicians. Here, Kom Ombo honors the ancient deity with the head of a crocodile, as well as Horus, God of daylight.  In the afternoon, have tea and relax on the boat deck by the pool.  In the afternoon, you will sail to Edfu.  In the evening, after dinner, there will be an Oriental Show, also known as a Galabya Party, where you and the ship's crew will dress in native Egyptian costumes.

Day 4:    EDFU – ESNA LOCKS - LUXOR WEST BANK

Enjoy your buffet breakfast before you disembark the boat to experience a 15-minute carriage ride through the city of Edfu to visit the Temple of Horus, also known as the Temple of the Sexual Chakra. This is the site where, HATHOR, the Goddess of Love & Beauty, music and dance visit her husband HORUS, once a year where a sacred marriage took place. HORUS TEMPLE is one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt.  Return to the ship on your horse-drawn carriage.  The ship will then sail to the Esna Locks.  

In the afternoon proceed to cross to the WESTERN BANK of the Nile to visit the Valley of the Kings including King Tut’s Tomb and Valley of the Queens. (If it’s open) and the Tomb of the Nobles.  This was where the fabulous treasure of Tutankhamen, which fascinated the world, was discovered.  Also, visit the Female Pharaoh  HATCHPSUIT TEMPLE at El Der El Bahari.

Day 5:  LUXOR- EAST BANKS / CAIRO

In the morning you will disembark the boat after breakfast and continue your adventure with a visit the Eastern bank of the Nile, which includes:  The Temple of Luxor, with its huge papyrus columns, which was dedicated to the God Amon, and Karnak Temple which consists of several temples of great beauty.  Luxor and Karnak were once linked by an avenue of ram-headed Sphinx. Your visit includes a stop at the temple of PTAH, the creator of Memphis, & OSIRIS, the King & Judge of the Underworld.  In the afternoon you will transfer to Luxor airport for your flight back to Cairo -  Le Passage hotel (or similar).   Rest of the day at leisure.
